Catalog description

(cross-leveled with MAE 7390 ). Analysis of jet engines and rocket engines. Topics include ideal and non-ideal engine cycle analysis of turbojet and turbofan engines, engine components and their efficiencies, analysis of liquid- and solid-propellant rockets, and electric propulsion for spacecraft. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: C- or better in MAE 3400 or MAE 3450 . Junior standing or higher required. Restricted to Mechanical Engineering majors
