Catalog description

This course equips students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and dispositions to be an effective teacher of computer science in the 6-12 classroom. This course is designed to immerse students in learning experiences that will provide a robust understanding of computer science teaching and learning from the perspective of both learner and teacher. It is organized around problems of practice, with an emphasis on the five standards from the CSTA/ISTE Standards for Teachers: Computer knowledge and skills, equity and inclusion, professional growth and identity, instructional design, and classroom practice. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3
