Certain student populations (e.g., socioeconomically disadvantaged, racial minorities, English Language Learners, students with disabilities) have been traditionally underserved by the U.S. mathematics education system. This course explores the fundamental issues underlying this situation and explores mathematics teaching techniques that can be used to make students' learning opportunities more equitable.
