Catalog description

This course provides hands-on experience in jury selection. Students will learn the goals of voir dire, Missouri law governing jury selection, and techniques for identifying jurors' beliefs and biases through effective questioning and active listening. Prominent trial lawyers will simulate the mechanics of voir dire, and students will conduct a simulated jury selection tailored to the facts of one or more mock cases. Graded on S/U basis only. Credit Hour : 1-2
