Catalog description

This course will explore advanced topics in two major personal insurance area - automobile and homeowners insurance. It will examine both areas at a national level, but special emphasis will be given to Missouri law. About three-fourths of the class will be spent reviewing policy forms, statutes, regulations, and about one-fourth of the class time will be spent on "performance and practice skill exercises," where the class will work through loss scenarios based on actual cases. The allocation of the time to the two areas will be approximately two-thirds auto and one-third homeowners. Credit Hour : 1-3 Prerequisites: LAW 5635 Insurance Law
