Catalog description

This hands-on skills class will give students the foundation needed to identify, obtain, evaluate, and analyze data with confidence. Students will practice using the same spreadsheets and data visualization programs commonly used in today's newsrooms. By the end of the course, students will be ready to pitch and create data-driven stories, using local, state, national or international data. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Distance graduate student only. MU campus-based students are not eligible to enroll in this class
