Catalog description

Explores advanced data analytics, machine learning, and prescriptive analytics methods applied to solving real-world engineering and operations challenges. The course integrates the three pillars of analytics: (i) descriptive analytics for data exploration and visualization, (ii) predictive analytics using supervised and unsupervised learning for prediction, classification, and pattern discovery, and (iii) prescriptive analytics methods that address real-world decision problems through metaheuristic search algorithms and reinforcement learning. Emphasizes Python-based implementation, including data preprocessing, model development, evaluation, and visualization to support intelligent, analytics-driven decisions in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, healthcare, and service operations.
