Catalog description

(cross-leveled with ISE 7280 ). Introduces principles and methods for modeling and analyzing discrete-event stochastic systems. Lecture topics include queuing theory, Monte Carlo simulation, random number and variate generation, input and output analysis, variance reduction, and simulation-based experiment design. The laboratory component emphasizes developing virtual 3D simulation models using advanced software platforms to represent, analyze, and improve system performance in support of digital twin applications across manufacturing, logistics, and service operations. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Grade of C- or better in ISE 4110
