(cross-leveled with HIST 7232 ). This course focuses on white collar and celebrity crime in America, mostly since 1970. From airline hijacking to celebrity murder, wall street trading, the dark web, Silicon Valley, and financial corruption in the U.S. and overseas. The idea is not to determine who was guilty or innocent, but to examine how white collar and celebrity crime has been perceived in broader American culture and its broader consequences. Prerequisites: Honors eligibility required Credit Hour s : 3
