This course gives students an understanding of how volcanoes work, how they are studied, and how they have impacted human cultures. Students will gain appreciation of volcanology as a broad scientific discipline within geology and the role that science plays in public policy. Graded on A/F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Recommended: Honors eligibility required
