Fixed-Income Securities Analysis

This topics course introduces students to the fundamentals of fixed income securities, including bonds, bond markets, interest rates, pricing, yield curves, and risk management. The course will also cover topics such as bond valuation, duration, convexity, and the role of fixed income in a diversified portfolio. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the mechanics of bond markets, different types of fixed income instruments, and the risks and rewards associated with investing in these securities. May be restricted during early registration to business students only and/or the following emphasis areas: Finance and Banking, Real Estate, International Business - Finance, and/or students who have declared the Investment Certificate. Some sections may be restricted to BSBA residential or BSBA Online students only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: FINANC 4020
