Techniques and concepts of financial management decision-making to optimize firm value, including capital budgeting, capital structure, corporate payout policy, firm valuation, mergers and acquisitions, etc. These concepts are taught using problem sets and cases. May be restricted during early registration to business students only and/or the following emphasis areas: Finance and Banking, Real Estate, International Business - Finance, and/or students who have declared the Corporate Finance Certificate.
