Capstone Experience - Writing Intensive

This course is a project called "The Story of My Major" undertaken within a designated 4000-level English course (marked "Capstone-Eligible") of the student's choosing. Students will enroll in one of several "Capstone-Eligible" 4000-level courses along with a zero-credit, S/U ENGLSH 4970W section under the same instructor. They must meet with the English Dept. Academic Advisor for a permission number to enroll. The Capstone project must be the equivalent of 12-15 pg. double spaced pages (3000-3750 words) and will undergo three formal revisions with peer reviews and instructor feedback. It is separate from the content of the 4000-level Capstone-Eligible course and will be evaluated as a reflective account-critical, creative, linguistic, or rhetorical-of the student's experience in the English major as well as according to WI revision guidelines.
