Catalog description

Analyzes the economics of health care in the United States with particular attention paid to the role of government. It examines the demand for health care and the structure and consequences of public and private health insurance; the supply of health care, including professional training, licensure, specialization and compensation, hospital competition and finance, and the determinants and consequences of technical change in medicine and health care reform. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: ( ECONOM 3251 or ECONOM 4351 ) and ( ECONOM 3271 or STAT 2200 or STAT 2500 or STAT 4710 or STAT 4750 or ABM 2225 ). May be restricted to Economics majors only during early registration
