Catalog description

Study of direct energy conversion technology and research trends in this area. Topics include energy storage techniques (mechanical, chemical, thermal, inductive, capacitive), thermoelectric generators, photovoltaic generators, thermionic generators, magnetohydrodynamic generators, piezoelectric generators, wind generators, fuel cells. Current research trends in this area will also be examined. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: ECE Majors or instructors consent
