Introduction to Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition

Catalog description

(same as CMP_SC 7720 ; cross-leveled with ECE 4720 , CMP_SC 4720 ). This course provides foundation knowledge to the basic methods in machine learning and pattern recognition (MLPR). MLPR addresses the problem of programming computers to optimize certain performance criteria by using example data or expert knowledge and it has wide applications. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: CMP_SC 2050 and STAT 4710 or instructor's consent
