(same as CMP_SC 4490 ; cross-leveled with ECE 7490 , CMP_SC 7490 ). Interdisciplinary course in neurobiology and quantitative sciences focusing on viewing the brain as electrical circuits. Explores understanding at the first-principles/biophysics level to aid in reverse engineering the brain. Basics of model development in neurobiology at the single cell and network levels focusing on practical design and system integration concepts using browser-based self-learning modules, without focus on mathematics. Provides an overview of how the brain is an AI system. Graded on A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: MATH 1500 or equivalent, or Instructor consent required
