Catalog description

This course introduces the methods and goals of classical archaeology to explore how people lived in the Mediterranean region in the days of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and their neighbors. Along the way we will study parts of our own contemporary human landscape in Columbia (and maybe learn to look at columns in some unexpected ways). Classes are a combination of lecture, group discussions, and activities. Graded n A-F basis only. Credit Hour s : 3 Prerequisites: Honors eligibility required
