Catalog description

This course is designed to teach the student functional assessment of therapeutic massage in relation to pathology. The student learns pathology of multiple systems and determines its impact on the delivery of massage therapy services in his or her own practice. Discussion of the massage therapy scope of practice and its relationship to other allied health professions is included. Understanding methods of communication with other professionals and clients, exploring holistic self-care practices, and developing a systematic evaluation and documentation scheme are also covered.
