Credits: 3 Prerequisite: PSY 206 or FSC 250 This course examines the cognitive components of aging and development including neuroscience, research methods and assessments, everyday cognition, cognitive disorders, caretaker issues, social cognition, language, and intelligence. An emphasis is placed on applying theoretical and empirical findings in cognitive aging and development research to everyday issues for older adults and caretakers
