Catalog description

Credits: 3 135 clinical hours Prerequisite: NU 301 , NU 325 . Concurrent enrollment: NU 300 , NU 328 , NU 329 . This course provides students with the opportunities to promote and maintain health of culturally diverse individuals in a clinical setting. Emphasis is placed on a beginning knowledge of cognitive, interpersonal, and psychomotor skills necessary to implement fundamental nursing activities utilizing AACN’s The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education and the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Professional Nursing Practice . Note: For each nursing course with an accompanying clinical course a grade of “C” or above is required in the theory course with a minimum grade of C in the associated clinical course in order to progress. If this does not occur, both the theory and the clinical course must be retaken together
