Catalog description

Credits: 3 45 contact hours Prerequisite: Anatomy and Physiology or A & P I and A & P II. This is a Nursing Prerequisite Course. This course builds on prerequisite knowledge in human anatomy and physiology, and is designed to provide the learner with a basic understanding of alterations in normal anatomy and physiology and/or disease states for common health problems. Emphasis is placed on the etiology of the signs and symptoms for these common disease states, thereby preparing the learner to understand the medical management of the health problem, as well a providing as basis for assessment and the development of a nursing plan of care
