Catalog description

Credits: 3 This course provides a foundation for critically analyzing ethical dilemmas in nursing practice while caring for individuals across the life span. This course focuses on the nursing profession and ethical and professional issues affecting the individual nurse and health care delivery in a variety of healthcare settings. The content enhances knowledge in regards to values clarification and moral reflection in the context of contemporary health-care challenges facing healthcare providers. The content improves the student’s ability to critically think and communicate more effectively in order to guide clinical decision-making involving emerging technologies and political, legal, socio-economic, and fiscal factors
