Credits: 5 75 contact hours Prerequisite: BSB 141 , BSB 142 , MA 113 Concurrent enrollment: NU 112 , NU 115 , NU 116 , PSY 206 , EN 101 . A basic course designed to familiarize the student with the nature of nursing and the nurse’s role in meeting the health needs of society. Emphasis is placed on the study and practice of the basic techniques of nursing care and the application of scientific principles. Note: For each theory nursing course with an accompanying clinical course a grade of “C” or above is required in the theory course with a grade of “C” or better in the associated clinical course in order to progress. If this does not occur, both the theory and the clinical course must be retaken together
