Credits: 3 Prerequisite: ACT Math subscore of 19 or higher, or MA 100 with a grade of C or better An introduction to basic applications of descriptive and inferential statistics: organizing data, mean, median and mode, and standard deviation, boxplots, probability and discrete random variables, the binomial distribution, the normal distribution, sampling distribution of the mean, confidence intervals and hypothesis tests for one population mean, the chi-square distribution
