Catalog description

Credits: 2 Development and/or improvement of academic skills in writing, reading, comprehension and computation. This class is beneficial for the beginning college student but is critical for students who have experienced difficulty with their academic progress. Emphasis is placed on self-assessment and goal setting, learning strategies, test preparation and test taking strategies. It is designed to use a computer laboratory, but also involves one-on-one teacher contact and peer tutoring. Note: This course cannot be used to satisfy any graduation requirements
