Credits: 3 This course will introduce students to the practice of health education and will present selected historical, cultural, philosophical, professional, and ethical issues in the practice of education. Course emphasis will focus on: defining health education; describing the roles and competencies of health educators; introducing the theoretical bases for the profession; providing an overview of planning, implementing, administering, and evaluating health programs; describing the settings for health education; and discussing future issues
