Credits: 3 This course seeks to involve prospective teachers in the issues of schooling and education and to give them a clear view of the skills and knowledge they will need to be successful professionals. The philosophical foundations and history of American education, governance, finance, and ethical and legal issues are discussed. There are 10 hours of field experience of P-12 classrooms(s) observation required for this course. Note: Minimum grade of C This course can only be taken twice for Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education Majors
