Catalog description

Credits: 3 6 hours per week Prerequisite: ART 230 A comprehensive studio experience where students conceive and design functional and/or sculptural ceramic forms. The potter’s wheel is the emphasized construction method. Students participate in loading and firing of all kilns. Historic and contemporary movements in studio ceramics are discussed as well as ceramic technology. Students formulate and test high fire glazes
