Catalog description

Credits: 3 6 hours per week A comprehensive studio experience where students design, create, and fire three-dimensional ceramic forms. Construction methods include pinch, coil, slab, and press mold. The pottery wheel is introduced. Students participate in all firing, including pit, raku, electric, and gas reduction. Ceramic history and contemporary trends are discussed, as well as basic clay and glaze formulation
