Foundational concepts and methods of descriptive statistics for quantitative and categorical data: data types and structures; tables and graphical summaries; measures of center, spread, and position; shape (skewness, kurtosis); exploratory data analysis; bivariate summaries (correlation) and an introduction to simple linear regression.
