Catalog description

This course explores the evolution of healthcare informatics, addressing foundational concepts, current challenges, and health information management systems. Emphasis is placed on leveraging technology to enhance decision-making and improve health outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. Students will apply informatics principles to clinical practice, proposing strategies to utilize technology for improving patient safety and optimizing work efficiency. Additionally, the course focuses on identifying, collecting, processing, and managing healthcare information and data. Prerequisite: Admitted into BSN Completion Program.
