Catalog description

Instrumental Methods in Secondary Education is a course designed to prepare music education majors to teach instrumental music (band/orchestra) in middle school and high school settings. In addition to studying various pedagogical approaches to teaching instrumental music in schools, students will observe and reflect on professional teaching practices, create professional documents, and experience teaching in the secondary school setting through practicum experiences. Perquisites: MUSC 250 and admittance to Teacher Education.
