Catalog description

The Jazz Ensemble is the Division of Performing Arts' standard big band, rehearsing and performing material from the swing era to the present. Students learn specifics of big band performance practices, ensemble playing, and improvisation. Open to qualified students subject to approval of director. This course can be repeated up to twelve times, or for a maximum twelve credits.
