Catalog description

Students conduct research under the direction of a faculty mentor. The general topic and specific goals and activities are agreed upon by the student and the mentor. While publication or presentation is not a requirement, all projects have a goal of producing publishable/presentable results. The number of credits is proportional to the time committed to the research (1 SH = 3 hours of student work per week on average). This course can be repeated up to eight times, or for a maximum eight credits, whichever limit is hit first. Instructor consent required.
