Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the expanding career landscape within kinesiology and the pre-professional health sciences. Designed for students pursuing pathways such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic medicine, physician assistant studies, athletic training, medicine, and emerging kinesiology professions, the course emphasizes developing strong leadership, communication, and career-readiness skills. Students will examine the scope of practice across multiple health and human performance fields, learn strategies for navigating the challenge of change, and build essential tools for career success including résumés, LinkedIn profiles, and professional networks. Through interactive activities, discussions, and applied assignments, students will strengthen their leadership capacity while gaining clarity and confidence in their future career direction.
