Catalog description

The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the history and role of the victim within the criminal justice system, a critique of the data source of crime types, rates, trends, and patterns and victim characteristics, special emphasis with be given to intimate partner violence and sexual assault. The evolution of victims' rights and the criminal justice system are also examined.
