Catalog description

Almost every individual sentenced to prison is released back into society at some point. This course will examine that process from the perspective of the individual leaving prison, parole officers, and society to better understand this process. Students will critically analyze parole, prison reentry programs, recidivism rates, and the concept of never-ending punishment.
