Catalog description

This course is focused on exploring the problems of crime in the United States: its nature, costs, causes, and victims, as well as the public’s reaction to crime and the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of our criminal justice system in dealing with crime and the criminal. Criminological theories of crime, forensic techniques, the structure and efficacy of the criminal justice system are evaluated.
