Focuses on the structure and spectroscopy of organic functional groups. Isomerism, intermolecular forces, infrared spectroscopy, 1H and 13C NMR of compounds containing the organic functional groups are introduced. Departmental consent required: course is intended for students transferring in credit for general chemistry with lab.
