UX in Healthcare

Catalog description

This course will apply UX design and research to medical devices, which includes Healthcare Information Technology (HCIT) and combination products. This course will deep dive into new healthcare technology designing displays and controls for their use environments. The course will use regulatory standards and industry guidance documents to ensure safety and efficacy. Students will experience activities on developing these complex systems, learn how to conduct formative and summative usability testing, and tie risk management and usability together. Students will understand how to successfully document UX work in a Usability File Index, which regulators are seeking.
