Interpersonal Communication

Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to develop competencies in the areas of interpersonal communication in both the public and personal arenas. Assignments focus on the design and process of engaging with verbal and non-verbal messages in both personal and professional contexts. Other areas of skill development covered include active listening, perception checking, development and maintenance of interpersonal relationships, interpersonal conflict, conflict mediation and resolution, and awareness of the intercultural and international aspects of interpersonal communication.
