Catalog description

In this lab course, students acquire the knowledge and psychomotor skills necessary to deliver safe and effective nursing care. Students gain confidence and skill proficiency through self-directed, deliberate, and repetitive practice, while receiving guided and constructive feedback on their performance. Integration of knowledge, skill, and attitudes occurs as students participate in a variety of experiential labs and simulated clinical experiences to make conscious connections between knowledge and actions. An emphasis in the simulated clinical experience is to strengthen students’ clinical reasoning, prioritization, delegation, and teamwork skills.
