Catalog description

This course covers the theories and principles of air-breathing jet propulsion. Students perform thermodynamic cycle analysis of various engine architectures. The mechanics and thermodynamics of combustion reactions are analyzed. Finally, analysis and design of individual engine components are also described along with compressor-turbine matching procedures.
