Catalog description

This course explores major elements in the design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. It consists of two parallel tracks. In the first track, topical coverage includes: psychrometric analysis, load estimation, duct/piping design, equipment selection, energy consumption estimating, acoustic analysis, and HVAC controls. In the second parallel track, the students utilize the Carrier HVAC simulation software to design the HVAC systems for a building and simulate the performance of these systems.
