Composite Materials

Catalog description

This course introduces the students to the economics, material make-up, mechanics, and manufacturing of composite materials. Primary emphasis will be on continuous-fiber polymer-matrix composites, though composites with short fibers and particular reinforcement as well as those with metal and ceramic matrices are also discussed.
