Catalog description
This course teaches the fundamentals of sensor measurement and its technologies. It will introduce measurement error analysis and the physical operating principles of common sensors/transducers and their steady-state and transient performance characteristics. Lab experiments will be used to demonstrate and reinforce measurement, signal conditioning and data acquisition concepts. It will also provide students with hands-on experience using various sensors, how to perform data collection, and interpretation.
