Catalog description

In this course, students learn to identify what is value-added and what is waste in any business process and learn to eliminate identified waste. Students also learn the value of multidisciplinary teamwork in a Lean Enterprise and will be introduced to such concepts as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Single Minute of Exchange of Dies and Kaizen. Students utilize the phased lean implementation approach and lean analysis techniques in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams to improve a production process as part of multiple production runs.
