Catalog description
This course introduces the student to the basic Six Sigma methodology which will allow engineers to solve any problem of sufficient breadth using the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) approach. In addition this course includes the statistical techniques necessary to implement and complete a Six Sigma project. Students will utilize these techniques in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team to work on a semester long project with open ended outcomes to cement learning.
