Catalog description

This course teaches students the fundamentals of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), computer numerical control (CNC) machining, and additive manufacturing (AM). Students will learn how to program a CNC machine using manual G/M code programming and computer-aided manufacturing software. The course also provides an overview of additive manufacturing (freeform fabrication) technologies, and students will compare part production via AM and CNC.
